My lovely spa

Ordered KFC home delivery today cz' we were all too lazy to go out......and surprise ! It came with this special set of shower gel and moisturiser.

Nutty gets to own the set and she showered immediately using the gel.

Hmmmmmm......... the strawberry fragrant lingered on the skin after her shower and I commented how I love the smell.

So my little gal offered to scrub my back using the gel and shower sponge...and I allowed her to.

The feeling of having the back being scrubbed is sooooo good !  And the sweet thing was, she even volunteered to scrub Mummy's feet cz' I find it very tedious to bend down these days.

Papa Moo was so envious when I told him about the back scrub......and I overheard him " manja-ing" away with his little princess just now that he wants a back scrub like Mummy too !

Can't wait liao

Went for my monthly gaene last visit and Jelly Bean now weighs a healthy weight of 1.8kg.  Dr H said Jelly Bean is estimated to weigh around 3 - 3.5kg upon her arrival.....and frankly speaking, I can't wait for that day to come.

The end of 3rd trimester is bringing back all the nausea which I have experienced during trimester 1, and to top it off, heart burn and legs cramp. I can also feel my energy dropping as the EDD draws closer. These days, especially the beginning of last week onwards, I can't walk or shop without a break for a roll of 2 hours. In fact, the zoo visit last Saturday was considered quite a victory cz' we actually strolled the entire compound without any ride on the tram !

Most of the bits and pieces for the big day have already been bought and stocked up, except for the confinement aunty's bed and baby's drawers. Guess these have to be settled by the end of the week cz' I have a nagging feeling Jelly Bean might arrive in mid-May, which is about 2 weeks from now.

It's a mixed feeling, on one hand, I hope to deliver fast, but on the other hand, if she were to come out in mid-May, that would mean 2 weeks earlier than the EDD. She would be in her 35th week then.

Guess for the sake of my baby gal, I would rather choose to bear with the heaviness for another 2 weeks till she reaches her 37 week.

Hmmmm..... can't wait to sleep on my belly once she pops.... these days, sleeping itself can be quite a strain.

Am counting down..... now I am in the 31st week going to 32nd... if I really deliver on the 37th - 38 th week, that would mean another 1.5 month to go.

Can't wait !

I love you.... we love you

CC and me both grow up in a typical Asian family where love and expression of affection are never shown openly. In fact, in my memory, I cannot recall a time when any of my parents has ever told me. " I love you." But that doesn't mean that I was deprived of love as a child...... just that the love and affection were being displayed in some other manner.

Yup, the same goes for CC as well.

Now with Nutty Gal, both of us seem to be showering and bringing her up with a totally different manner as how we were brought up. Call it the " love and praises " approach, that's exactly our parenting style.

We like the feeling of being opened in expressing our love for her....with daily doses of " I love you".... " Papa and Mama love you" and not forgetting the hugs and kisses.

I guess that's also the reason why Nutty is growing up to be an affectionate gal.......who would ask for hugs and kisses openly. This is also one common parenting style which CC and me agree upon. Lots of hugs....praises, love and kisses.

Wau lau eh, relax lah, Aunty !

Now that I am almost done with the baby preparation, I am spending the rest of my free time before the big D-day arrives doing some self-pampering. And so, yesterday, I decided to go for my much-awaited hair treatment cum head massage at Reds Parkway.

The lady serving me was a nice lady.....but somehow, I found her attention a little too suffocating for words. First, she instructed the staff to change my cup of tea into mineral water cz' she felt pregnant ladies should not take caffeine. Well, I smiled and accepted her offer cz' it was out of kind intention.

However, the subsequent part of the salon session, I was slightly irritated with her. This was what happened.

After shampooing, I was ushered to the basin.

Lady : Miss, be careful...... don't trip on the chair, okie?

SSSF....smiled and nodded.

Lady : MISS !!!! CAREFUL.....CAREFUL....... don't trip ,okie?

And guess what, I nearly tripped, not cz' I was clumsy, but cz' her sudden burst of nervousness caught me off the guard.

Think she must be suffering from some kind of anxiety, cz' throughout the session, I had to make 2 trips to the basin and she was repeating herself all the while.

Well, it's either I must be stressing her out with my big tummy, or she was stressing me out with her incessant words of caution.

Too much of everything is no good....... in the end, I had to pretend to be down with a headache by closing my eyes so she would leave me alone with her constant " nagging".

Well, the only good thing from the session was, I came out feeling fresh and totally groomed. Love the massage and must make an effort to go back one more time before my D-day arrives next month.

Next on my agenda..... pedicure ! So I can enter my labour ward with nicely pedicured nails....what a bimbo, I know! Kekeke......but it doesn't hurt to pamper ourselves, does it?
